Hernando County Emergency Notification System

Spring Hill Fire Rescue in conjunction with Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management, Hernando Utilities Department and Department of Public Works is introducing a New Emergency Notification System called CodeRED™

The CodeRED™ Emergency Notification System is an extremely high-speed telephone communication system available to all public safety agencies in Hernando County for emergency notifications. CodeRED™ employs a one-of-a-kind Internet mapping capability for geographic targeting of calls, coupled with a high speed telephone calling system capable of delivering customized pre-recorded emergency messages directly to homes and businesses at the rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.

Listed below are examples of situations when the CodeRED system could be utilized by Spring Hill Fire Rescue:

In order to insure that the calls reach all residents in the county, we highly encourage all residents to submit an accurate and up-to-date phone number.
