Explorer Post 418

Mission Statement

The Spring Hill Fire Rescue Explorer Post 418 was founded with the goal to establish skills, knowledge, and experience for future careers in the Fire and EMS professions by participating in emergency calls and assisting in the community.  We are dedicated and committed to the Spring Hill Community and each other.

The Explorer Post of Spring Hill Fire Rescue was established in 1991 by Lieutenant Michael Carpenter.   Firefighter / Paramedic Kenny Discepolo  and Lieutenant Alan Regis recently relinquished the Post Advisor / Associate Advisor positions after several years of dedicated service.   Advisor Discepolo was honored with a plaque during his last post meeting.  The post is now advised by Firefighter/ Paramedic Kenneth Wannen  and  Lisa Wannen.  The sponsoring organization of the Explorers, The Boy Scouts of America, wants to provide an organization to help young adults between the ages of 14-21 experience what a career in the Fire and Medical field would be like.
