"Just wanted to let you know that my class certainly came in handy. I
don't  know if you saw the news but we had a lear jet crash into 3 homes, a
dock, a riverwalk,  3 boats and ended accross the river. Fortunately we had
3 dispatchers go to the scene and 1 go into dispatch to assist. The
incident went like clockwork. Thank you for giving me the insight and
knowledge to assist in such an incident.  My books are at work so I am
unable to send Dan this email, could you please forward this on to him with
my thanks."

Dear Colleagues,

It was a pleasure and honor to work with all of you in the IDT course. To have the opportunity to, again, learn about the new frontier of Incident Dispatch was very rewarding for my counterpart Fred Blunt as well as myself. To be participating in a class with such a fantastic group of people made the difference also. Our next challenge is assimilation of all the info, preparation and marketing. It is just the beginning…

To the members of Seminole County Public Safety, a very sincere thanks for the warmest of welcomes (not referring to the daily humidity and the "set-your-clock-to" t-storms) and the excellent hospitality you provided. A special thanks to: Susan Hughes, Bob Hodges, Chief Norm Miller; Who throughout the week made us outsiders feel like a part of your team. That means a lot and goes a long way. It was a pleasure to learn from your positive examples (teamwork). The environment was relaxing, fun and overall educational.

To those of my class colleagues: It was definitely a pleasure to meet every one of you and to work with such a group of professionals, all of you looking to take this profession to the next level. Don’t let that fire die!

To the instructors I say a wholehearted thank you for putting on an excellent program. The week was very full. I’m sure there are things that can be tweaked (I left that in my course feedback) but overall it was worth the journey to Florida. Special thanks to:

  • Dan Koenig, Bonnie Maney, Kevin Rolfe, Dave Halstead, Chief Terry Wynn, Chief Chris Johnson, Andy Murray, John Kohler, Paul Hartsfield, Rich Strang, Rolf Preuss, and Anthony Berrios (my apologies if I missed anyone or misspelled any names) all of whom made this class a success.

Good afternoon Bonnie, I don't know if you remember me, Lori from Ft
Lauderdale from your October class, however I just wanted to let you know
that I extremely enjoyed the IDT class, it's nice to know after all these
years in communications people are starting to understand that as
dispatchers we have sense and can handle most anything.
